Interlove by Colin Boyd Shafer

A few months ago I took photos of the opening reception of Interlove, a documentary project on interfaith couples in Ontario by photographer and teacher Colin Boyd Shafer. Selected images from the project are exhibited at the historic Mackenzie House until the end of this week, so there’s still a chance to see these photos in person. You can also follow the project on the website and Facebook. Colin’s previous project is Cosmopolis Toronto, a series of portraits and stories from Torontonians born outside of Canada, celebrating the diversity and acceptance of this country we now call home. Thank you Colin and team for inviting me to document the event! I love documentary projects and Colin’s photojournalism approach is something I’d like to do more of in the future.

I didn’t know there’s a printing press at Mackenzie House. This Books & Media Studies grad was so stoked.
