In April, Red Handed Denial released their “Wanderer EP”, and you can play the whole thing below while I show you the photos from the release show. Do it.
Ready?
They had the show at an upstairs venue I’d never been before, the stage was small, ceiling was low, practically no lighting, so I used a lot of flash and edited the photos differently than I normally would. It’s a lot more grittier than usual because the show was crazy. I’m used to shooting from photo pits or getting ample space in front of the stage, but this show was packed with friends and fans, and that’s how it should be!!! And it was insane.

FULL HOUSE
I’m super happy about how those crowd images turned out cause I don’t usually (get to) take mosh pit photos for fear of my safety. I also had a bad experience caught in a From First To Last mosh pit at my first Warped Tour so I stay out of pits, I was standing at stage right to take these crowd shots by the door, and I was so scared of falling down the stairs (you can see the door in a few images below).

And then BoJack Horsemen showed up.

I tried to do a group photo of the band…

Because you read it all the way to the end, here’s a fun fact as a reward—I also photographed their last CD release show in 2013, that was my first step trying to get on their radar because I really really really wanted to work with them… and now I do :D You can see the photos here.
Thank you for reading!
